INDEPENDENT SUPPORTED LIVING SERVICES

At Next Steps Supported Living we work collaboratively with the young person and relevant professionals to develop a person centered support plan. This enables us to identify areas of development and support needs in preparation for independant living. Both our support plans and risk assessments are carefully written, regularly updated and reviewed to ensure the safety of our young people.

Support plans may include the following dependent on the needs of the young person:
1. Financial and budget management
2. Life skills and independent living support
3. Employment and education mentoring
4. One to one support
5. Mental, physical, social support

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

We will always act in the best interest of our young people. This may involve making and maintaining appointments with local health professionals as per the needs of our young people. Our dedicated support team has experience in supporting young people to develop their life skills. This may include developing cooking skills, healthy eating plans and habits as well as encouraging regular exercise and mindfulness to support both physical and mental wellbeing.

SUPPORT PLANS

Our individual support plans are tailored to suit each young person. Ranging from 1:1 or 2:1 support, along with any additional support that is needed to help manage the transition to independent living. We also provide support packages for unaccompanied asylum seeking young people, and young mothers with babies.

ONGOING SUPPORT

The support and guidance we provide goes beyond the support we give during placement. Keeping in touch with our young people through adulthood is important. Giving them support and guidance when they need it.
